Hej to all bryo bloggers! I have a short question: Does anyone of you know where I could get (a copy of) the book: Proceedings of the 11th Internat. Bryozoology Association Conference (second hand would be fine!)Seems a long time since some of us met in Boone last year.. So, I`m already really looking forward to the Larwood meeting in Vienna in Maj and hope to see a lot of you there again!!? greetings from the- now slowly defrosting- Sweden, Judith

I have a request...Does anyone have data (those that work on extinct bryoz) of the occurrence of avicularia in the fossil record...so do you have colonies with avicularia, what type (adventitious, interzooidal, vicarious, vibracula, or unknown) and what era/epoch/mya they occured, where they occured, any abiotic data associated with that point in time....post on the blog and i will collate it all. Thanks in advance :)

Hello all!
My name is Seabourne, I'm another PhD from down under, New Zealand...alas I didn't make it to Boone, but anyhow, thanks for setting up this great blog for bryozoan lovers! Thanks Michelle for letting me know about it! I'm based at the Geology Dept. at the University of Auckland, where I'm working away on the paleoecology and distribution of some fossil bryo.s from the Wanganui Basin. So, you see I'm really a new-comer to bryozoans, but have found myself fascinated by the little beauties...
Hope to catch up with you other postgrads soon, all the best for your research!

These tentacles belong to Rhyncozoon n. sp. Hope this helps, wasn't sure how much detail you want.

Tentacle SEM
Well, I thought it's time to give the Blog it's first little Test: I'm looking for SEMs of tentacles. Did anyone come across some?

THE IDEA
- A forum for question, ideas, coordination or collaboration for Bryozoan-Postgrads all over the world. The page is certainly also open for all more experienced Bryoozologists.
